Tasting Notes

Grown, produced and bottled in the extraordinary environs of Pride Mountain Vineyards on the Spring Mountain's summit, the extra time we took, and the care we gave during the 2000 vintage is evident in the ponderous ripe depth and remarkable extract. Chocolate and ripe dark berry all the way! The structure and tannin spectrum betray the Cabernet base of this blend. I am really thrilled with this vintage.

The most frequently asked question that I have received this year concerns the obviously bigger style of the 2000 Claret....There is a lot more Cabernet Sauvignon in the 2000. I have evolved in this direction because I prefer the blend, and also to better differentiate between the Foley Claret (Cabernet-based), and the Pride Reserve Claret (Merlot-based). 

I want to dedicate this 2000 Claret vintage to my father, Robert Foley Sr., for his awesome inspiration to me as a dad and his unconditional love and support throughout my life.  Thanks Dad!
