2006 Claret

The 2006 is a blend of vineyard blocks rather than varieties and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Vineyards in the north Valley impart the lushness of the mid-palate, while vineyards on Mount Veeder. Atlas Peak and Howell Mountain provide their firm structure. The synergistic combination of these strengths of character results in a powerfully expressive wonder-wine. Delicious middle, thorough ripeness and perfect tannin framework put this one right up with our 2001 vintage, one of the best reds we’ve had the pleasure to have known. Give this Cabernet a shot early-on and then put enough away to watch it develop for as long as you can give it. Inspirational in its youth, the ’06 Claret will out-age most of us!
